Day #13 : March 13 2014: Reading prompt : Wonder Wheels - Things that go.
Our picks:
1. Freight Train : Donald Crews : This Caldecott Honor book is a lovely one on trains talking about the parts of a train. The illustrations are stunning with colors, showing tunnels, bridges and cities. Go Chugga, Chugga. While you are doing that sing these songs - the high energy Karadi Train song or this Freight Train one .
2. Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction site: Sherri Duskey : A book about the hard working engines in a construction site. Talks about what bulldozers, dump trucks, Cement mixers do their job with pride and joy and how they go to sleep. A bedtime read too for your Trucks lover. The illustrations lovely!
3. Runaway Wheel : Asha Nehemiah : A story about one of the tractor wheels going loose and as it runs along find many target on its rolling path. Read the full review here.
